I've been building software since I was 10 years old. it started because I wanted to play the drums.
we couldn't afford a drum kit, and we didn't have the space for one. so I built a flash application to play the drums by pressing the computer keys.
the latency was terrible. but it was enough fun for a kid that was desperate to play.
that experience taught me I could build anything I wanted with software — and I didn't need to ask permission or money from my parents. I just needed to understand how to build it.
now you don't even have to do that. you can just ask ai to build it for you. which is why it's the best time to be creative — you're only limited by your imagination, literally.
I've spent the last 9 years as a freelance dev across european startups. these days I help founders, creators, and solopreneurs ship their own software with ai.
